She was only 26 years old when she was murdered in Pakistan in the year 2016. Maher is the author of the book.

A Film on Qandeel Baloch

Shrivastava recalls, “I was shaken up when Qandeel Baloch was slain in Pakistan in 2016,” and this is exactly what he felt. It was a heinous act committed in the name of honour. It was impossible for me to keep my thoughts off of her. After following Qandeel on YouTube and watching her videos on a near-constant basis… She radiated vitality and possessed stunning good looks. A young woman who was born into poverty in a remote village went on to become a controversial celebrity. When she was slain, she had only just turned 26 years old. It’s a cruel twist of fate that she wasn’t recognised as a feminist until long after she passed away. By lending their support to this narrative, producers Vikas Sharma and Sunny Khanna will have the opportunity to tell an original story about the agency of women and the misuse of power on a systematic level.

Alankrita Shrivastava will Make a Film on Qandeel Baloch

According to Sharma, “Qandeel‘s story deserves a director who is compassionate and is interested in the experiences of women.” Alankrita is an excellent choice to fill the role of director. Not only because she is a feminist director who has won multiple awards, but also because she has a real concern for the people she portrays on screen. She tells their stories with complete openness and complete truthfulness. Co-producer Sunny Khanna made the observation that the story of Qandeel Baloch is important and timely. Women are still putting themselves in harm’s way in today’s society if they have the audacity to express their individuality and challenge the status quo. In my opinion, it is vital for people all across the world to hear and watch stories like this one. In addition to that, I can’t wait to see where this movie takes me.

Tulsa is the company that represents Alankrita Shrivastava, and they are the ones who will package the picture. According to Shrivastava, “I see this film as a homage to the courageous spirit of Qandeel Baloch,” and he says this about the movie. It will trace her unbelievable and remarkable rise to stardom within IANS.
