A new smartphone at an affordable price point, the Oppo A97 5G, has been released by OPPO in China. Last week, there were rumours and leaks that revealed certain information about this next smartphone. Let’s take a look at everything that it has to offer, including the prices and the times it is available.

The Oppo A97, which was spotted for the very first time the previous week, has now been officially unveiled. ColorOS 12 is driven by the Dimensity 810 System-on-Chip (SoC), and it is based on Android 12. The A97 comes standard with 256GB of storage space and 12GB of RAM; however, the user has the ability to expand the RAM to 19GB by using the smartphone’s internal storage space.

The front display on the Oppo A97 is a 6.6-inch FullHD+ 90Hz LCD that has a cutout for the front-facing 12MP camera. Around the back, we get a main digital camera with 48 megapixels as well as a depth unit with 2 megapixels. Your complete bundle is powered by a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and assistance from 33W charging.

The Oppo A97 comes equipped with a 3.5mm headphone socket, USB-C, and 5G connection, amongst other noteworthy features. In addition to that, it features a fingerprint reader on the side and stereo speakers that have been Dirac-tuned.

In China, the Oppo A97 can be purchased for CNY2,099, which is equivalent to $312/€311 at current exchange rates. You can place a pre-order for one on either the Chinese version of Oppo’s official website or on JD.com, with the latter charging a higher price of CNY2,299 ($341/€340). Shipping will start on July 15, although there is currently no information regarding availability in other markets.
