The new version demonstrates the company’s commitment to smoothly integrating AI-assisted interactions. The upgrade had previously only been announced for the Android platforms, but will now be released for iOS as well.
In the above screenshot, you can see this new option in the far right corner of the menu bar. The AI-powered conversation can be started instantly for the user. According to WABetaInfo, the AI-enhanced conversations are currently in beta testing with a select set of users, and a public rollout has not yet been scheduled.
The major goal of this shortcut key is to facilitate the initiation of these niche conversations with minimal effort. And “placing the shortcut prominently in the Chats tab ensures users are well-informed about this feature,” which should facilitate the normalization of AI-assisted interactions within the messaging app.
