The next iteration of Google’s flagship smartphone lineup, the Pixel 8 series, is currently under development. The launch of the series on Google will most likely take place later on in this year. Because we are now halfway through the year, there are a lot of leaks and renders that are going around on the internet, each of which reveals a different piece of information about the phones. Now, the redesigned design of the Google Pixel 8 Pro as well as a brand-new major feature have been shown in the first video to be stolen from the device.

The fresh look of the next flagship phone is revealed in a video that was sent to 91mobiles by an anonymous tipster named Kuba Wojciechowski. In addition to that, it showcases a brand-new thermometer that is incorporated right in.

The location of the new thermometer has been moved to the rear, just below the LED flash. It is an infrared thermometer with the purpose of determining the temperature of your body. This functionality has been made available by other companies before Google. The Honour Play 4 Pro comes equipped with an identical feature as well.

It would appear that its technique is comparable to that of other contactless thermometers. The video that was accidentally shared online serves as a tutorial for utilizing the feature. In the video, the user is instructed to locate the monitor, remove any accessories, such as spectacles, that could potentially obscure bare skin around the forehead, and then bring the phone in close proximity to the person’s face. You don’t have to touch the sensor on your forehead in order for the thermometer to work, but you do have to move the phone around to your temple over the course of five seconds in order to get an accurate measurement.

The origin of the video cannot currently be determined. 91mobiles, on the other hand, reports that Google staff are putting the Pixel 8 Pro through its paces. Additionally, this feature will not be accessible on the base model of the Pixel 8 device. The movie does not demonstrate how the sensor will be able to measure the temperature of things; however, it will be able to do so.

The Pixel 8 Pro has a design that is comparable to that of the Pixel 7 Pro. The most notable distinction is that all three sensors are now integrated into a single module that constitutes the camera bar.

Both the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro are scheduled to be released in October. Both phones will include Google’s very own Tensor G3 system-on-chip (SoC). It has been reported that the screen on the Pixel 8 Pro would measure 6.52 inches, which is an inch less than the screen on the Pixel 7 Pro. In addition to this, the primary camera will make use of Samsung’s most advanced ISOCELL GN2 sensor.
